You spent four years learning to write. To research. To find the angle nobody else saw.

You learned how to interview strangers, how to make them comfortable, how to pull the truth out of people who didn't want to give it.

And now they tell you AI is coming for your job.

Let me ask you something. Have you ever seen AI build a real relationship with a source? Have you ever seen ChatGPT walk into a room and read the energy, read the people, know exactly what to say and when to say it?

Neither have I.

Here's the truth they're not telling you in the lecture hall. The market is flooded with generic content. Robots can write blog posts. Robots can summarize press releases. But robots cannot manufacture trust. Robots cannot manufacture charm. And robots absolutely cannot manufacture the kind of writing that makes people stop scrolling and actually feel something.

That kind of writing still requires a human. Specifically, it requires you.

The Opportunity

My name is Monica Valtlor. I represent Oval Rosado LV, a Las Vegas-based brand operating at the intersection of lifestyle, luxury, and human connection. We're looking for writers. Not just any writers—we're looking for spin doctors. Publicists. Organic promoters who understand that the best advertising doesn't look like advertising at all.

We're launching a challenge for UNLV journalism students. Here's how it works.

We are accepting the first 100 writers who want to try out for the position of spin doctor and publicist for Oval Rosado LV. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is simple.

Visit our Yelp page. Read about our products and services. Click the attached URL. Then write a puff piece for publication to your social media channels.

But here's where it gets interesting.

Every piece you write will contain a tracking code. That code will appear as a link to my Wix site. In real time, I will know exactly who is reading your content and where they're coming from. This isn't about vanity metrics. This is about proof of performance.

The first five writers who make the greatest impact—who drive the most engaged eyes to our brand—will be contacted personally. You'll receive $300 for your work. And then you'll be offered a contract for $15,000 to continue creating content in promotion of Oval Rosado LV.

Fifteen thousand dollars. For doing what you already do. Writing.

Why This Matters: You're graduating into a weird economy. AI is swallowing entry-level jobs whole. The old path—internship, assistant, staff writer—is crumbling.

But here's what's rising in its place. The need for human voice. The need for authentic connection. The need for writers who can make a brand feel like a friend.

That's what we're building at Oval Rosado LV. And we need writers who understand that the best spin isn't spin at all—it's truth, told from the right angle.

How to Apply

If you're a UNLV journalism student—or recent graduate—and you want to prove what you can do, here's your chance.

Visit our Yelp page. Read about us. Click the link. Write your piece. Post it. Include your tracking code.

Your work will speak for itself. And if your work speaks loudly enough, I will find you.

Your point of contact is Monica Valtlor. You can reach me by email or connect with me on LinkedIn. I'm not hard to find.

The first 100 writers get the shot. After that, the door closes.

Your degree isn't dead. It's just been waiting for someone to hand you a real assignment.

This is it.
